EVERYBODY’S MAGAZINE
CHARITABLE FOUNDATION (EMCF)
ESTABLISHED
The
EVERYBODY’S
Magazine Charitable Foundation EMFC) was established on March 9, 1982
under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
After 1985, the
EVERYBODY’S
Magazine Charitable Foundation (EMCF) held no events. However,
EVERYBODY’S
Magazine and Herman Hall Communications, Inc. continued giving to
charitable causes. For example, charitable and educational institutions
have received monies from our annual Oliver Samuels comedy series and
other cultural events.
ACTIVATED
After Hurricane Ivan in September 2004 and as a result of readers
encouraging
EVERYBODY’S
Magazine publisher Herman Hall to create a permanent “Hurricane Fund,”
the Everybody’s Magazine Charitable Foundation was reactivated.
PURPOSE
The principal purpose of EMCF is to help when natural disasters such
as hurricanes destroy a Caribbean island and to help in other
humanitarian projects.
HOW DONATIONS CAN BE GIVEN
Donations can be given to the EMCF by mainly two methods.
- Anyone can donate to the EMCF at anytime and the donation will
be deposited into the general hurricane or disaster fund.
- When there is a disaster one can give a donation specifically
towards that particular disaster and all the funds raised to help
victims of that disaster will be given to the appropriate
organizations and institutions in that island or country.
Checks must be made payable to the
EVERYBODY’S
Magazine Charitable Foundation.
