The Caribbean-American Vote

For the purpose of this survey, Caribbean-American means immigrants in the U.S. who are from the English speaking Caribbean and their U.S. born children.

Caribbean-Americans are regarded as a segment of the African-American or black U.S. population.

Since EVERYBODY’S Magazine readers are mainly English Speaking West Indians living in the U.S. and their off-springs, it is assumed that most participants in this survey are English speaking Caribbean-American nationals.

The survey was posted on our website between February 21 and March 1.

Although it was a random survey, the conclusion is similar to other polls taken over the years by EVERYBODY’S Magazine: Over 80% of Caribbean-Americans vote the Democrat Presidential Ticket.
